Does the airport charge parking fees?Yes, we do our best to drop your car off as close to the rental time as possible to minimize your pickup fee. Most renters prefer picking up in the short-term lot, which requires a one-time fee of $15 - 30 to exit. Alternatively, we are happy to drop off the car in the economy lot, accessible by airport shuttle, where fees will be closer to $6 - 12 to exit.

What are the delivery locations for car rentals?Key Cars offers delivery at two locations: 1) SLC airport, in the short-term or economy lot at the renter's preference, or 2) local delivery in South Jordan, Utah

How do I pick up the key?We leave the key inside each vehicle. After check-in, we unlock the vehicle remotely. You'll hop in the car and be on your way!

What happens if I return the car late?Late returns may incur additional charges. If you think you’ll be late, contact us or request an extension through Turo.

Can I add extra drivers?Yes, additional drivers can be added during the booking process as long as they meet Turo’s requirements. All additional drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by Turo.

What payment methods are accepted?Payments are processed securely through Turo’s platform, which accepts major credit cards and other supported payment methods

Do you accept last-minute bookings?Yes, subject to vehicle availability. Last-minute bookings are welcome, but we recommend booking in advance for the best selection. The minimum advanced notice required is 3 hours.

What is the maximum distance allowed on my rental?Most cars allow 200 mile per day of rental. If you need additional miles on your trip, a small surcharge may apply.

Is smoking allowed in your vehicles?Smoking and vaping is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in all vehicles. A cleaning fee may be charged for violations.

What is the fuel (or EV charging) policy?Cars must be returned with the same fuel level or EV battery charge as when picked up. If not, a refueling or recharging fee may apply.

What is the minimum trip duration?Each car has a minimum trip duration of at least one day, with two-day rentals required on the weekend. The Turo booking process will alert you if the minimum parameters are not yet.

Can I drive out of state?Yes, out-of-state travel is allowed, but please review the mileage policy, which is generally 200 miles per rental day. Fees may apply for extra miles driven on your trip.

Are pets allowed in your vehicles?Pets are generally not allowed, but if you would like to bring a pet, please check with us beforehand to confirm availability per vehicle.

What is your cleaning policy?Please return the vehicle in the same condition as when you picked it up. Excessive dirt or damage may incur additional cleaning or repair fees.

What is your cancellation policy?Turo’s cancellation policy applies to all bookings. Generally, full refunds are available if you cancel within the allowed time frame specified in your reservation details.

Can I extend my rental?You can request an extension through the Turo app, subject to availability. We recommend requesting as early as possible to avoid conflicts.

What do I do in case of an accident?In case of an accident, contact Turo immediately through their platform for guidance. For breakdowns, refer to the roadside assistance included in your protection plan.

Do you provide child seats or other accessories?Yes! We do have child seats, ski racks, and other items, subject to availability. Please message us in the Turo app for any accessory requests.

Are all your vehicles All-Wheel-Drive?Yes, all Key Cars vehicles are all-wheel drive, ensuring safety and performance, especially in Utah’s diverse weather conditions.

What do I need to rent a vehicle?To rent, you must have a valid driver’s license, meet Turo’s age requirements, and pass a screening process. International renters need a valid driver’s license and sometimes an International Driving Permit.

How does insurance work?Turo offers several protection plans for renters that include liability insurance and damage protection. You can select the level of coverage that best suits your needs when booking a vehicle. If you have personal auto insurance, it may also provide some coverage—check with your provider.
